Stay connected for news and updates

From the Fort Worth Star Telegram:

"Casey Pachall has been suspended indefinitely from competition. My job as a head coach is to win games, educate our kids and help them with their lives."

According to TCU assistant athletics director of media relations Mark Cohen there will be no further comment or media availability from the university.

It's somewhat surprising that Pachall wasn't kicked off the team all together, to be honest.

However, now is the start of the Trevone Boykin era at TCU. The redshirt freshman out of West Mesquite hasn't seen much of the field this year, and the majority of his playing time came against Grambling State.

He's thrown for 74 yards and a touchdown on nine of 10 passing this season, to go along with 122 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

He'll be backed up by freshman Tyler Matthews.
