It has not been a quiet year for the TCU football team this year. First there was the drug scandal, which was only passed over in news coverage after Bobby Petrino crashed his motorcycle while hauling his mistress across the natural state. Then there was Mr. Pachall's wild ride, which resulted in TCU's star quarterback leaving the program for the year, and yet more headlines for the program. As a result, people have been talking about TCU football pretty much all year, but not in a particularly positive fashion. That could all change tonight. Kansas State brings a #2 ranking and the Heisman trophy favorite into Fort Worth this week for their greatest remaining road test, hoping to make a statement for their national championship aspirations. The whole country is talking about the wildcats right now, how good they are and whether they or Oregon should be the team to face undefeated and overrated Alabama in the title game. And yet, tomorrow the entire country could be talking about TCU instead. It all comes down to how the Frogs play tonight: win this game and suddenly this season turns into a triumph over adversity (if it wasn't already) and the Frogs put the Big 12 on notice for next year. Lose, and it's all anyone really expected. TCU has a bowl bid locked up, so there's no pressure on the frogs to pull this one out, they can play fast, loose, and bust out every trick in the book to try and pull the game out from Kansas State here. TCU has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Kansas State is walking into the most dangerous game left on their schedule. This is your gamethread.

Let's beat the hell out of 'em.

Go frogs.
