K-State makes its opponents pay for their errors, netting 111 points off turnovers so far in 2012. - Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

The Wildcats have given up zero points off turnovers, but have gained 111 points off turnovers. That's sound football:. make opponents pay for mistakes, without paying for one's own errors. TCU is +47 over all in 2012, but -6 in Big12 games other than Baylor.

Stew Mandel, in his indispensable week-in-review column at SI.com points out an incredible stat about K-State. The Wildcats have given up zero points off turnovers, but have gained 111 points off turnovers.

Holy smokes-- that's sound football, in a stat. Make opponents pay for mistakes, but avoid paying for one's own errors. Times a million!

TCU isn't a slouch in that department (the Frogs have gained 87 points off of turnovers, not counting drives beginning with their opponents' failed fourth down conversion attempts, and lost 40 points off of turnovers). But more than half of TCU's +47 differential in points off of turnovers comes from the Frogs' +28 game in Waco. Otherwise in conference play, TCU is -6 in points off turnovers.
