As many of ya'll know by now Coach Jim Christian accepted the head coaching position at the University of Ohio. It's not surprising to me that CJC left TCU before they made a decision to get rid of him in the next year or so. At Ohio, he has more job security and returns to the MAC, a conference in which he dominated for several years while at Kent State. After a season that saw TCU upset UNLV, New Mexico, and Colorado St. at home as well as push San Diego St. to the brink, the Frogs return a core group of players as they enter the Big 12. Sure, during most games against quality competition the Horned Frogs turned to Hank Thorns to take over the game- which he often was capable of doing. Unfortunately, he is graduating. JR Cadot and Craig Williams are also gone and both were key players down the stretch for the Frogs. The future looks promising with Kyan Anderson returning to play point guard, Amric Fields who showed glimpses of being a good player (and at times he often vanished), Garlon Green, Nate Butler, Connell Crossland, and Adrick McKinney. I am not saying we are well-equipped to compete in the Big 12. I think the overall talent on our roster is probably more suited to play in Conference USA but there is also potential and room for development. The incoming recruiting class could also add talent and depth to our roster. All we need is now a good coach who can bring in the kind of players that could have TCU at least competitive in the Big 12 and eventually becoming a commodity in the NCAA tourney. There's a long way to go but who do you think should be TCU's next head basketball coach. Rumors have it that Doc Sadler and Fran Fraschilla are on the list but I am not a fan of either candidate.
