Finally made my decision.
SBNation's Wescott Eberts is reporting that Mansfield Safety George Baltimore has committed to TCU. More can be found here.
A consensus three-star prospect by the services who is now listed at 6-0 and 200 or so pounds following a recent growth spurt that doctors have told him could push him into the 6-3 range, Balitmore held 17 offers from around the country, including Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech, among others.
The seventh commitment in the TCU recruiting class, Baltimore reminded Texas fans of current defensive back Adrian Phillips, who had a similar reputation to Baltimore in terms of making plays on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball in high school, as well as on special teams.
Capable of turning opportunities into interceptions due to his instincts and interceptions into touchdowns due to that aforementioned playmaking ability, Baltimore is known as the type of player who plays fast in pads, though his overall speed even in pads is just above average for his position. In short areas, Baltimore is excellent, but in the open field, he doesn't have the extra gear that defines the best athletes in the secondary or at the offensive skills positions.
In run support, Baltimore is a physical player willing to take on ballcarriers, wrap up, and get his legs churning to discourage yards after contact.
