That is Nick Sherry, doing something UNLV hasn't done much of lately: celebrating a touchdown. His Rebels did something else they aren't used to-- won a game. Against Air Force, no less. Well done, Rebs.

Oddities and funnies from today's games:

UNLV-- yes, the hapless Rebels-- won a game. Barely. The Rebs gave up over 350 ground yards to Air Force, but got 199 themselves, and 250 passing yards. 38-35 UNLV wins, and maybe Bobby Hauck's seat cooled a degree or two in Vegas.

West Virginia gave up 305 yards in the air to Maryland's quarterback (who completed 69% of his passes). Methinks the TCU-WVU matchup might be a high scoring, aerial affair.

Pitt beat a 2-A team. This is newsworthy today, but probably won't be by season's end.

What's going on the MAC? Iowa, South Florida, UConn, and Kansas all fell to MAC teams today.

Paul Myerberg, the genius behind Pre-Snap Read is migrating to USAToday. For the first time in its entire existence, a portion of that paper is now must-read reading.
