Former Auburn and Oklahoma State assistant coach Curtis Luper has reportedly been hired by Gary Patterson to take over as running backs coach.

According to the FWST, Curtis Luper has been hired by TCU to take over as the running backs wide receivers nevermind, he really is going to be the running back coach. An announcement is expected sometime this week.

Curtis has had an exemplary career, including stints at Oklahoma State and Auburn. He is known as an excellent recruiter and should make an immediate impact at TCU.

Curtis' son, Cameron Echols-Luper, committed to TCU over the weekend after decommitting from Texas A&M.

Further information on the hire, as well as subsequent moves (such as the hiring of another defensive assistant coach) have yet to be announced by TCU Athletics.
