*TCU was 4-1 on the road in Big 12 play last season.

*The Horned Frogs are 8-5 in short-week games under head coach Gary Patterson.
*Texas Tech holds a 29-23-3 edge over TCU in the all-time series which began with a 28-16 Horned Frogs win in Fort Worth in 1926.
*TCU is 5-17-3 against the Red Raiders in Lubbock and 18-12 versus Texas Tech at home.
*TCU has dropped its last three games at Texas Tech. The Horned Frogs' last win in Lubbock was a 30-16 decision in 1991.
*The Horned Frogs and Red Raiders have met just three times since the Southwest Conference dissolved after the 1995 season. Texas Tech won the first game, 70-35, in Lubbock in 2004. TCU then earned a 12-3 victory in Fort Worth in 2006, before the Red Raiders' 56-53 triple-overtime win in Fort Worth last season.
*TCU safeties coach Chad Glasgow was Texas Tech's defensive coordinator in 2011.

VERSUS THE OLD SWC
*TCU is 24-13 against its Southwest Conference rivals since the league broke up after the 1995 campaign.
*The Horned Frogs are 6-4 versus former SWC foes who are now Big 12 opponents, including a 1-2 mark against Texas Tech.
*TCU was picked third in the preseason Big 12 poll. The Horned Frogs received nine first-place votes and were just 18 points behind preseason favorite Oklahoma State.
*TCU has just 10 scholarship seniors on this year's roster.
*Last week, Trevone Boykin became the only quarterback in TCU history to lead the Horned Frogs in passing yards (133) and receptions (three) in the same game.
*In last year's meeting with Texas Tech, Boykin passed for a career-high 332 yards and four touchdowns. He became the first Horned Frogs' signal caller to pass for four touchdowns in back-to-back games.
*Tailback B.J. Catalon tops TCU in rushing (111 yards) and is second in the Big 12 in all-purpose yards (163.0 per game). His 38.6-yard kickoff return average, which includes a 100-yard touchdown against LSU, ranks seventh nationally.
*Waymon James is TCU's career leader in average yards per carry at 6.8, a mark that also ranks fifth nationally among active players.
*Preseason All-American and 2012 Associated Press Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Devonte Fields made his season debut last week.
*Returning All-America cornerback Jason Verrett is tied for second on TCU with 14 tackles, including a sack. He and fellow cornerback Kevin White top the Big 12 and are among the national leaders with four pass breakups in the opening two games.
