Kansas State made the rare move of luring a head coach away from a conference rival on Tuesday, hiring Mittie to become its new women’s basketball coach. He replaces Deb Patterson, who was fired after 18 seasons that included nine NCAA tournament appearances.

Oklahoma's baseball game against TCU counted for the regular season standings but did nothing for their conference race other than provide a little confidence. The Horned Frogs came into Norman with a national ranking of #24 but  couldn't overcome Oklahoma's bats.

Offensive linemen Tayo Fabuluje and Matt Pryor are both competing for starting jobs. But it may no longer be for the same spot. Pryor is working at guard this spring. Fabuluje is trying to lock down his former starting job at left tackle before leaving the program last summer.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse has completed his visit with the team on Tuesday. The scheduled visit had been reported late Monday afternoon by NFL Insider Adam Caplan. If the Bengals sign him, he'd be a depth player that would fight for a spot on the 53-man roster later this summer.
