A couple of other interesting takeaways:

Cal Poly, the top seed in the region that Pepperdine just won, had an RPI of 17 but their SOS was 115 with a 7-6 record against RPI 1-50 teams.

The other teams in that region were Arizona State and Sacramento State.

ASU notched a 33-24 record with an RPI of 45 and SOS of 27.

Sacramento State was 39-24 with an RPI of 123 and SOS of 229.
