TCU started the season 1-0, which is really all we can ask for after the first game, right? Sure, Boykin missed a few key throws that could have pushed TCU to a larger victory, but the defense held up nicely with a ton of young guys, and the offense will work the kinks out soon enough.
In the meantime, college football is rolling on today, with eight games queued up for your viewing pleasure. Some are snoozers, but others are worthy of your attention, especially the one taking place in Dallas.
Yes, Baylor is probably going to obliterate SMU, but it's our first look at the Bears new QB Seth Russell, who completed 13 passes for 124 yards, with a TD and a pick against SMU last season (all in the second half). Baylor will also be without two key defensive players Shawn Oakman and Orion Stewart, as they were suspended for unspecified violations of team rules.
Two other games to keep an eye on are Boise State vs. Washington, as Chris Peterson takes his new team to visit his old one, and Michigan State-Western Michigan, to see how a potential Big 10 contender looks in their first game of the year.
