ESPN Big XII Blog, UT vs TCU, Stats That Matter

Interesting read. "TCU has multiple interceptions in eight of those 16 games, and in that span, no FBS team has more games with three-plus interceptions than TCU’s six. McCoy and David Ash combined for three against TCU last season. But this is also worth noting: Since the start of 2012, the Frogs are 0-4 when their defense doesn’t record an interception."

TCU Football Fans - You Need This Book!

Yesterday I received my copy of Riff Ram Bah Zoo - Football Comes to TCU, which covers TCU's football program from its inception in 1896 through the time it joined the SWC in 1922. By way of background, last year in the run up to the UT game, I embarked on a mission to identify every football game TCU played on Thanksgiving. It took every spare moment over about two weeks to be reasonably confident I had identified every game, and even now there are a couple of years I still can't account for. With that in mind, I can't even begin to imagine how much time and effort went into the research necessary to gather all of the information that appears in this book. The finished product is truly remarkable. FOW's own Ezra Hood does a fantastic job bringing back to life the names and the stories (from the harrowing to the humorous) of our football past that were otherwise undeservedly forgotten to time. The photographs are great too - and one thing I noticed from viewing a couple of game photos is that getting TCU fans to turn out and stay in their seats is a problem that has apparently existed for well over 100 years! Writing a book is an enormous undertaking, and one that in my opinion truly deserves recognition - all the more so since this work touches upon a subject so near and dear to everyone who visits FOW on a daily basis. If you love TCU, and in particular TCU Football, this book will add a phenomenal level of depth to your knowledge and appreciation for our school and our football program. I highly recommend it, and am fully confident you will get as much out of it as I have.
