The Frogs were victorious over BYU last night in the only sporting event the metroplex will be comfortable discussing for the next week or so, so let's turn our attention to the full slate of games on the docket today- it wouldn't do to waste a weekend of college football moping when there are just so few of them in the year. Games of interest today (involving our present and future conference mates especially) include upcoming opponents UNLV and Colorado State engaging in a slap fight in Vegas this afternoon at 5 CST, Air Force looks for its first conference win (0-3, how weird is that for the academy?) against New Mexico who will be looking for their first win of any variety at 1 CST, and the battle for the Poinsettia Bowl berth is on as Wyoming travels to San Diego State in the evening slot- 9 CST start.
For our next year conference, we have a future SEC clash going on in College Station (how weird is that?) at 11 CST as Mizzou visits A&M, Oklahoma looks to rebound from its first loss at Gaylord Stadium since a certain purple band made the trip north in '05 at Kansas State in what will likely be the game of the day at 2:30, Baylor tries to derail Okie State's dream season as they travel to Pickens, Oklahoma... er. That is to say, Stillwater, at 2:30 as well, Kansas visits Texas for their annual plucking at 6, while simultaneously the conquerors of the red river head back to the dust bowl of Lubbock to take on Iowa State. And for those who want to know more about the fact that West Virginia is leaving the conference- no they're not- yes we are and we're leaving right away- no they're not- kerfuffle, the mountaineers travel to New Jersey to take on those fine crimson folks to whom we owe this game that we love at 2: 30. As always, death to Baylor, and have a great day of football watching!
