ABOUT THE GAME*No. 21 TCU hosts No. 20 Texas Tech in a key Big 12 contest featuring ranked teams coming off impressive victories last week.*The Horned Frogs and Red Raiders are meeting for the first time since a 12-3 TCU win in Fort Worth in 2006. Both teams were also ranked in the top 25 in that game. TCU at No. 20 and Texas Tech at No. 24.*Saturday marks the third sellout this season and the 11th in TCU's last 12 home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium. TCU is playing its first season in Amon G. Carter Stadium after its $164 million rebuild.*The Frogs are making their first appearance on ABC since a 17-10 season-opening victory at Oklahoma in 2005. TCU has its first home game on ABC since a 24-17 victory over Texas Tech in the 1994 regular-season finale, giving the Frogs a share of the Southwest Conference championship.*TCU has opened with a record of 5-1 or better for the fourth time in the last five years and the seventh time in 12 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson.*The Frogs are 23-12 against former Southwest Conference teams, including a 1-1 mark versus Texas Tech, since the league dissolved after the 1995 campaign.*Over the last eight seasons, TCU is 43-3 in day games and 73-6 when playing on a Saturday.*The Frogs' seniors have a 41-4 record, tying them for fourth among winningest classes at TCU.
