Frogs in the League: Week 5

Week five of the NFL season is in the books. Here is what the former Frogs are up to.

Marcus Cannon, OL, Patriots: (Broncos-21 Patriots- 31)- Cannon replaced Sebastian Vollmer in the fourth quarter of the Patriots victory.

Tank Carder, LB, Browns: (Browns- 27 Giants-41)- Tank recorded one tackle.

Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals: (Dolphins-17 Bengals- 13)- It wasn’t one of Dalton’s best performances in the NFL. The Red Rifle threw an interception with less than two minutes left to help the Dolphins cap the victory. Dalton was 26-43 for 234 yards, 1 TD, and 2 interceptions. He was also sacked three times.

Clint Gresham, Long Snapper, Seahawks: (Seahawks-16 Panthers- 12)- No update.

David Hawthorne, LB, Saints: (Chargers-24 Saints- 31)- Hawthorne was inactive for New Orleans.

Jerry Hughes, LB, Colts: (Packers-27 Colts-30)- Hughes recorded three tackles in the Colts upset of the Packers.

Colin Jones, S, Panthers: (Seahawks-16 Panthers- 12)- Jones had one tackle for the Panthers.

Jeremy Kerley, WR, Jets: (Texans-17 Jets-23)- Kerley was targeted 9 times and reeled in 5 catches for 94 yards. He also recorded a tackle which might be the first of his career. Kerley is the Jets leading receiver to this point in the season.

Marshall Newhouse, OL, Packers: (Packers-27 Colts-30)- Newhouse had a rough week blocking Dwight Freeney.

Jason Phillips, LB, Panthers: (Seahawks-16 Panthers- 12)- No update.

Daryl Washington, LB, Cardinals: (Cardinals- 3 Rams- 17)- Washington had five tackles and a sack in the Cardinals loss to St. Louis. Washington now has 4 sacks on the season. ArizonaSports.com says D.W. is a rising star.
