ABOUT THE GAME
*No. 23 TCU returns to its former campus location as it makes the 87-mile trek down I-35 to face Baylor for the first time as Big 12 rivals.
*TCU was located in Waco from 1895 to 1910, before moving to its current home in Fort Worth.
*The Horned Frogs take the field for the first time after having their nation's-best 12-game winning streak snapped by Iowa State. Last year, TCU's winning streak of 13 in a row, also tops in the nation, came to an end at Baylor.
*Three of TCU's last four losses, dating back to 2008, have resulted in the Frogs following up with a winning streak of at least 12 games.
*TCU is 19-2 in its last 21 road games.
*For the first time in its last three visits to Baylor, TCU will play on a Saturday. Last year's meeting in Waco took place on a Friday night. The previous game at Baylor, in 2006, was on a Sunday afternoon.
*The Frogs have opened with a record of 4-1 or better for the fifth time in the last eight years and the seventh time in 12 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson.
*TCU is 21-6 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
*Saturday will mark Patterson's 145th game as TCU's head coach, tying him with Abe Martin (1953-66) for second on the Frogs' all-time list. Patterson is TCU's winningest coach with a 113-31 record. His .785 winning percentage is fourth nationally among active coaches with a minimum of five years experience.
*The Frogs are 22-12 against former Southwest Conference teams, including a 3-1 mark versus Baylor, since the league dissolved after the 1995 campaign.
*Over the last eight seasons, TCU is 72-6 when playing on a Saturday.
*The Frogs' senior class has a 40-4 record and needs one victory to move into a tie for fourth with the 2008 seniors who won 41 games.

SERIES NOTES
*Last year's 50-48 Baylor win evened the all-time series between the Frogs and Bears at 50-50-7.
*TCU is 25-23-1 versus Baylor in Waco and 25-27-4 in home games against the Bears. TCU and Baylor tied in both neutral-site meetings.
*The Frogs have faced Baylor more than any other opponent in their history. The 107 games in the series date back to a scoreless tie in 1899.
*TCU is playing at Baylor in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1914-15. Last year's meeting between the Frogs and Bears was a non-conference game.
*Prior to Baylor's win last season, TCU had won three straight games over the Bears for the first time since a run of eight straight victories from 1964-71.

TCU NOTABLES
*TCU is tied with LSU and Ohio State for the national lead in most true freshmen (15) seeing action this season.
*TCU has played more true freshmen (15) than it has scholarship seniors (11).
*The Frogs have played more combined true and redshirt freshmen (27) than any program in the nation. Kentucky (26) is second, followed by UCLA (25) and USC (25).
*The Frogs have just four seniors in their starting lineup, including one on defense.
*TCU is tied for fifth nationally with 14 players making their first career starts this season.
*The Frogs are in the top 15 nationally in eight major defensive categories.
*True freshman defensive end Devonte Fields is tied for the Big 12 lead with 9 1/2 tackles for loss, while his 5 1/2 sacks are second. He tops all freshmen nationally in both categories. The 5 1/2 sacks are chasing the TCU freshman record of seven by Aaron Schobel in 1997.
*Josh Boyce is TCU's career leader in touchdown receptions (18).
*Skye Dawson is the lone player in the nation to rank in the top nine in punt returns (17.4 average) and top 11 in kickoff returns (30.2).
