Connell Crossland had a double double for the Frogs, with 12 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the Frogs to an easy 75-47 win over the Centenary Gentlemen tonight at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
Adrick McKinney (16) Jarvis Ray (11) and Kyan Anderson (10) also had double-digit scoring nights for TCU, and the Frogs shot 56.4% from the floor as a team, including 50% from three point range (3-6).
Centenary (0-1) was led by Jonathan Blount with 17 points. In all, 11 Gents scored tonight, but other than Blount, none scored more than six points.
TCU won the rebounding battle rather handily, 37-20, but they still allowed Centenary to grab seven offensive boards. That will be unacceptable come conference play, when bigger teams will look to dominate the glass.
Fortunately though, it was just a negative spot on an otherwise very good game.
A nice stat tonight is the 18 assists on 31 made baskets for the Frogs.
That's twice as many assists as TCU recorded in the first game. Nine Frogs handed out at least one assist tonight, led by Anderson with 4 and Butler Lind with 3.
The next Frogs matchup comes Thursday when TCU hosts cross-town rival SMU and their head coach Larry Brown.
Go Frogs.
