*TCU closes its first season in the Big 12 on Saturday when it welcomes No. 11 Oklahoma to a sold-out Amon G. Carter Stadium on Senior Day.
*Prior to the Horned Frogs joining the Big 12, Oklahoma had already been scheduled to play at TCU this season in a non-conference game. It was part of a home-and-home series that began with the Frogs traveling to Norman in 2008.
*TCU's Gary Patterson is 1-1 as a head coach versus Oklahoma. Both games have been in Norman. The Frogs won 17-10 in the 2005 season opener before a 35-10 loss in 2008. The 2005 victory over the No. 5 Sooners began a stretch that has seen TCU go 4-2 in its last six games versus top-five opponents.
*The last game in Fort Worth between TCU and Oklahoma was a 10-9 OU win in 1998, when Patterson was in his first season as the Frogs' defensive coordinator.
*As TCU's head coach, Patterson is 14-9 against ranked teams.
*The Frogs, 4-1 on the road in Big 12 play this season, are looking for their first Big 12 home victory.
*TCU tops the Big 12 while ranking in the top-10 nationally in five major defensive categories: run defense (97.3 yards per game), total defense (323.9 yards per game), interceptions (20), takeaways (30) and third-down conversions (28.1 percent).
*Since 2005, TCU has the nation's best record (48-1, .980) when ahead in turnover margin.
*TCU is playing its first season in Amon G. Carter Stadium after a $164 million rebuild.

*Oklahoma holds a 7-4 series lead over TCU.
*The Frogs are 1-4 in Fort Worth versus the Sooners, 3-2 in Norman and 0-1 in Oklahoma City. TCU's lone win over OU in Fort Worth was 13-7 in 1945.
*The first game in the series took place in Oklahoma City in 1944 with the Sooners winning 34-19.
*In the last game between TCU and Oklahoma, the second-ranked Sooners jumped out to a 21-3 lead after the first quarter en route to a 35-10 victory on Sept. 27, 2008.
*TCU's 17-10 win at No. 5 Oklahoma in 2005 was, at the time, the Frogs' first victory over an opponent ranked that high since a 6-0 decision over No. 1 Texas in 1961.

*TCU has two Oklahoma natives on its roster in starting defensive tackle Davion Pierson (Oklahoma City; Millwood High School) and reserve offensive lineman Jamelle Naff (Dell City).
*Oklahoma outside linebacker Joseph Ibiloye is the younger brother of former TCU safety and four-year letterman Alex Ibiloye (2007-10).

*TCU is bowl eligible for the eighth straight season and 11th time in Gary Patterson's 12 seasons as head coach.
*TCU is tied with Texas for having played the most true freshmen (16) in the nation.
*TCU has played more true freshmen (16) than it has scholarship seniors (11).
*The Frogs are tied with LSU and North Carolina for the national lead in most combined true and redshirt freshmen (28) playing this season.
*Nearly 70 percent of players who have seen action for TCU this season are freshmen or sophomores.
*TCU is fourth nationally with 21 players making their first career starts this season.
*Linebacker Kenny Cain is the lone senior to start on defense and see playing time on that side of the ball.
*True freshman defensive end Devonte Fields tops the Big 12 in both sacks (9) and tackles for loss (17 1/2).
*Cornerback Jason Verrett is the Big 12 leader in both interceptions (6) and passes defended (19) while ranking in the top five nationally in both categories.
