The NFL is back, the first week of preseason games are in the books, so let’s take a look at how the former Frogs have performed in NFL training camps across the country.

Logan Brock, TE, Texans: (Texans- 26 Panthers- 13): No update on Logan Brock, not sure if he even saw time in this game.

Braylon Broughton, DE, Saints: (Saints- 6 Patriots- 7) Broughton had one tackle in the Saints loss to the Patriots. CBSSports.com has Braylon missing out on the 53-man roster for New Orleans.

Aaron Brown, RB, Bengals: (Jets- 6 Bengals- 17) Brown had six carries for 11 yards and one reception for -5 yards in the Bengals eleven point win over the Jets. BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Bernard Scott will not play Thursday against Atlanta which will give extra reps to Brown and Dan Herron.

Marcus Cannon, OL, Patriots: (Saints-6 Patriots- 7) Cannon had a forgettable first preseason game. Tom Brady was sacked only one time and that was thanks to Mr. Cannon. According to NFL.com, the Pats are bringing in Chad Clifton to take a physical and to possibly sure up the offensive line.

Tank Carder, LB, Bills: (Redskins-7 Bills-6) Although Tank’s NFL career started out with a loss, it wasn’t all bad. Carder had 4 tackles for Buffalo in their one point loss to Washington.

Drew Coleman, CB, Lions: (Browns-19 Lions-17): The Lions brought in Coleman to help with their depth at CB so he has an excellent chance of making the roster. Coleman had four tackles in the Lions loss to Cleveland.

Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals: (Jets- 6 Bengals- 17): Dalton didn’t play a lot in the preseason opener for Cincinnati but the Red Rifle did finish 4-of-9 for 54 yards with no sacks or interceptions. Albert Chin of SI.com says Dalton is taking on more of leadership role this season.

Clint Gresham, Deep Snapper, Seahawks: (Titans-17 Seahawks-27) As long as Gresham doesn’t botch a snap there probably won’t be many updates on the long snapper. If he gets cut for some reason, we will let you know.

David Hawthorne, LB, Saints: (Saints- 6 Patriots- 7): Hawthorne sat out of the Saints loss to the Patriots with a hip flexor.

Jerry Hughes, LB/DE, Colts: (Rams-3 Colts-38): Is Jerry Hughes finally emerging as a pass rushing threat? Hughes had two sacks and four total tackles in the Colts big win over St. Louis. There is probably a reason for the success though. Indianapolis is working Hughes as an outside LB which is where most people thought he should play to begin with. Hughes is currently backing up Freeney at the rush linebacker spot.

Colin Jones, S, 49ers: (49ers-17 Vikings-6): I haven’t seen anything on Colin Jones.

Jeremy Kerley, WR, Jets: (Jets- 6 Bengals- 17): Kerley missed the Jets first preseason game due to a hamstring injury, but the former Frog great has returned to the practice field. Coach Rex Ryan had said he hoped Kerley would be at full speed by the end of the week, but Kerley was pushing for midweek.

Greg McCoy, CB, Bears: (Broncos-31 Bears-3): McCoy is battling for a position spot with Chicago. McCoy had one tackle in the Bears loss to Denver.

Marshall Newhouse, OL, Packers: (Packers-13 Chargers-21): Newhouse sustained a concussion in the Packers August 3rd Family Night scrimmage, but returned to the practice field this week.

Jason Phillips, LB, Panthers: (Texans- 26 Panthers- 13): Phillips started in place of the injured Jon Beason and had a solid game. He totaled one tackle and one interception he returned for two yards.

Herb Taylor, OL, Packers: (Packers-13 Chargers-21): I didn’t see much of Herb play, but according to this article, it was a long night for Taylor.

Michael Toudouze, OL, Chargers: (Packers-13 Chargers-21): No update here…

Daryl Washington, LB, Cardinals: (Cardinals-17 Chiefs-27): Washington had two tackles in the Cardinals loss to the Chiefs. Arizona has begun working on a contract extension for Washington in only his second season.

Ed Wesley, RB, Cowboys: (Cowboys- 3 Raiders-0): Wesley did not appear in the game for Dallas.

Malcolm Williams, CB, Patriots: (Saints- 6 Patriots- 7): Williams had three tackles for the Patriots. Williams is battling for a roster spot in New England.

Jimmy Young, WR, Steelers: (Steelers-23 Eagles-24): Young did not record a catch in the Steelers loss to Philadelphia.
