SportsNOLA.com, A Louisiana sports blog, takes a look at TCU's first 2012 opponent. The blog confines its analysis primarily to the quarterback D.J. Williams and runningback Dawrence Roberts (the SWAC preseason player of year). About Roberts, the blog says,

"At 5-11 and 185 pounds, Roberts led the SWAC in rushing (1,102 yards) and had five games of 175 or more rushing yards. The preseason SWAC Offensive Player of the Year averaged 5.5 yards per carry, and will likely have even more of an impact [this season because] the Tigers took some graduation hits in the skill positions."

About the quarterback, the blog says,

"Grambling head coach and former NFL standout Doug Williams, has confidence in him. 'Everyone wants to know about the quarterback situation,' the elder Williams said. 'We don't have a quarterback situation. We have a starting quarterback and we have some good backups that I won't hesitate to play.' [Williams] was one of the catalysts in last year's 8-4 season... He says, 'Last year, I was learning things on the fly, and I was trying to do too much too quick," D.J. said. "Now I know I need to just manage the game and not turn the ball over. If we do that, we'll be all right.'"

Both of Grambling's lines are in good shape, says the blog, and the team has playmakers behind the defensive line.
