Jason Verrett, a 2012 All-American, is tracking towards being a first round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Jason Verrett, or Predator as he's lovingly known by TCU faithful, is ranked 12th in SB Nation's 2014 NFL Draft Top 100, and is the highest ranked cornerback on the list.

The next cornerback on the list is Oregon's Ifo Ekpre-Olomu at No. 23, and there are eight cornerbacks in total included on the list.

While this list isn't indicative of where listmakers think players will go in the draft, it is impressive that Verrett is considered the best cornerback prospect at this point.

On the season Verett has 38 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions (good for fourth on the Frogs), and a team-leading 12 pass breakups and 14 passes defended. Most have felt that Verrett's had a down season compared to 2012, during which he's missed time due to a shoulder injury.

In Verrett's 2012 All-American season, he recorded six interceptions and a team leading 22 passes defended. Part of the reason for the drop in numbers in 2013, shoulder injury aside, is the fact that quarterbacks are not throwing his way quite as much.
