TCU got more good news on Sunday, as the strong start to the offseason continues, when Rice commit Ty Summers decided to switch his commitment to the Horned Frogs.
A consensus 2-star recruit, Summers played both ways for the Reagan (San Antonio) Rattlers, at quarterback and safety/linebacker, leading the team to an 11-1 record. All major recruiting sites have him listed as a dual-threat quarterback/athlete recruit, and he was committed to Rice to play on the offensive side of the ball.
However, TCU sees the 6'2", 211-pounder as a linebacker at the next level, according to Scout.com. With his 4.5 speed, he'd be great depth at the position, and Summers told the guys over at HornedFrogBlitz.com that he's excited to get back to playing defense.
