TCU got some great news, as they added their second signee of the day just a few minutes ago when safety Kenny Iloka made his commitment official by faxing in his Letter of Intent. Iloka committed to TCU earlier this week over Texas, Texas Tech and Memphis.
Iloka is teammates with OG Frank Kee, who signed his LOI this morning. He'll have three years to play two, and should have an immediate impact on a TCU secondary that's losing Elisha Olabode.
Iloka is a 3-star safety from Tyler JC, where they also play a 4-2-5 defense. According to SB Nation's recruiting expert Wescott Eberts, who popped by the other day, Iloka is a huge get for TCU:
They asked him to do a lot in that defense and while he may have needed an adjustment period to fit in a defense demanding more man-to-man coverage, he has an excellent shot of playing right away for Gary Patterson.
After watching Iloka on film, I’m tempted to believe the measures of athleticism listed on his Hudl page and he is a heck of a hitter.
Texas really needed Iloka, so this was a big recruiting win for TCU and I think he’s going to be a good player for y’all.
