TCU Flips Jermaine Antoine from North Texas

TCU claimed its second commit of the day after Jermaine Antoine switched his commitment from the University of North Texas to the Frogs.

TCU continues recruiting well out of Louisiana, as they snagged a commitment from Loreauville, Louisiana wide receiver Jermaine Antoine away from the Mean Green of North Texas, Monday.

Antoine, a 2-star recruit, also had offers from Texas A&M, Southern Miss and Western Kentucky.

Listed at 5'11" 196, Antoine runs a 4.61 40 according to Scout.com.

Like Denzel Johnson earlier today, Antoine visited TCU this weekend but came away without an offer. That changed today, when TCU offered and he very quickly committed.

This is a good get, but I think it has implications for TCU's chances to land Demarquise Polite-Bray, who paid a visit to Texas Tech this weekend.

My assumption is that the coaching staff got in touch with Polite-Bray today, and received some not so good news regarding where the WR out of Lithonia, Georgia will commit. Pure speculation on my part, of course, but it's a logical conclusion.

Former TCU wide receivers coach Trey Haverty seems to be making an impression at Texas Tech on some of the kids he was originally recruiting to the Frogs.

Either way, glad to have Antoine in the fold. Welcome to the Frogs!
