Kansas, the #5 team in the country, heads to Fort Worth tonight to take on the Horned Frogs.
The game is the first sellout at Danel-Meyer Coliseum since 2011, when Jimmer Fredette and BYU came to town.
Then, it was about 80% BYU fans. This time, I don't think there will be that many Kansas fans, but it could be close.I was at the Baylor game, and it was probably 60-40 BU folks to Frog fans.
Kansas is coming off of their first conference loss of the season, to Oklahoma State, and they're looking to rebound in a big way. It certainly doesn't seem like TCU will be able to hand them a second consecutive loss, but stranger things have happened.
The Jayhawks are lead by freshman guard Ben McLemore and senior center Jeff Withey, but their depth is undeniable.
Four players average double digit scoring and three average at least five rebounds per game. For the Frogs, Kyan Anderson and Garlon Green have continued to struggle as of late, and the rebounding issues still linger.
The team can't make free throws and while they are mostly successful at slowing games down, it never seems to be enough.
I don't expect this to be a pretty game, but we'll be here for it all. Check back in later for our game thread.
Go Frogs.
