It's been rumored for a few days now, but has finally come to fruition:
Cornerback David Jenkins has been dismissed from the football team, according to reports from Horned Frog Blitz and TCU 360.
From the TCU 360 article:
TCU cornerback David Jenkins turned himself into the Tarrant County Sherriff’s Office on Thursday night, according to TCU Police Sgt. Kelly Ham.
In an email, Patterson said Jenkins, a 2012 LSU transfer who sat out the 2012-2013 season per NCAA transfer rules, was released from the team and dropped from all classes.
"(I'm) very disappointed in his actions," Patterson said.
Jenkins had two warrants out for burglary of a home.
Needless to say I'm disappointed, but at least he wasn't a starter. This is definitely a blow to the depth of the secondary, but as we saw last season, this will just be a case of "next man up" for Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs.
