The Fort Worth Star Telegram has the story:
TCU men's basketball incoming freshman Karviar Shepherd, one of the nation's most highly coveted recruits, has been cleared by the NCAA, coach Trent Johnson confirmed Friday.
Shepherd, a 6-foot-10, 225-pound center from Prime Prep Academy in Dallas, was in limbo a couple weeks ago when it was reported that the NCAA had ruled him ineligible because of academic issues with the school.
Great news for men's basketball, who was holding its collective breath waiting for news on the appeal... Even more good news: No major injuries this summer as of yet, Fields and Durley are progressing back nicely from their injuries, and once again their are NO NEW MAJOR INJURIES. Life is good.
