Welcome back to football! I know many of you may still be feeling the disappointment and anger from Thursday's loss to Tech, but there are only so many college football Saturdays a year and it would be a shame to miss one. If you're still feeling down, why not watch some lesser teams with explosive/well-coordinated offenses and try and imagine what TCU would be like with one of them. Personally, I'd love Northwestern's offense. Some games of interest you might be interested in- All times are central.
#16 UCLA @ #23 Nebraska- 11 AM. UCLA is a favorite of the Frog Blogpoll, but winning in Nebraska is a difficult task for even the most talented of teams (except the Longhorns).
Tulsa @ #14 Oklahoma- 11 AM. Blake Bell is getting the start, can OU actually throw the ball? Is their defense as real as it's looked through the first two weeks?
In the mid afternoon, it's the SEC and everyone else, as Tennessee makes a rare trip outside of the south to take on Oregon in the pacific Northwest at 2:30
Also there's some sort of game going on in College Station. You may have heard it mentioned in passing during the pregame, halftime and immediately following our game with Tech.
After that, why not check out #4 Ohio State travelling out to take on Cal? Braxton Miller is questionable and Cal has installed a "Bear Raid" offense, so I think Cal could keep this close. 6 PM
Kansas travels to Rice to try and earn revenge while doubling last season's win total. 6:30 PM
Game 1 of the Greg Davis redemption series is on the Longhorn Network tonight if you've got it, as Ole Miss travels to Texas with thoughts of revenge from last year's butt-kicking in Oxford running through their minds. 7 PM
If you've got the Big Ten network, check out Northwestern (my dream offense) slaughtering Western Michigan at 8 PM
In the nightcap, Wisconsin (another school that rarely travels to other big schools) heads off to Arizona State. This is going to be an interesting one for new Wisconsin head coach Gary Anderson. 9:30, this could be the game of the day.
If you're watching the games, why not discuss it with your fellow frogs? This is your open thread, discuss anything you like!
Go Frogs.
