If you thought last week was a short week for the Big 12, you haven't seen anything yet.  Just three games for the Big 12 today after Iowa State achieved its first victory of the season on Thursday night.  Here's what your Frogs O' War Staff think will happen in each of today's games.

SMU @ TCU

HawkeyedFrog: TCU 31, SMU 9
Patterson's speech about offensive identity takes for at least a week, and TCU bludgeons the Mustangs on the ground for over 250 yards rushing.  A few missed tackles lead to short fields for the ponies, but unlike against Tech they don't lead to touchdowns.

Jamie Plunkett: TCU 28, SMU 10
TCU runs well, controls the clock, and forces Gilbert into some bad passes. No SMU fans runs the field in Fort Worth this year

FungoFrog: TCU 35, SMU 17
TCU should have had enough time to rest and get ready for the game. My concerns are thusly: With no Devonte Fields, will TCU get a pass rush on Gilbert? Will Boykin rebound? Will we successfully run the ball? Will the removal of Collins and the installation of Dunbar at LT effect anything? That being said, I pick TCU to win by 18, the Vegas line.

Oklahoma State @ West Virginia

HawkeyedFrog: Oklahoma State 43, West Virginia 7
The Cowboy defense makes a statement against the shaky mountaineer offense, forcing three turnovers and scoring a defensive touchdown.  Meanwhile the improved Mountaineer defense is left on the field all game against a high powered Cowboy offense that wears them down and piles on points in the second half.

Jamie Plunkett: Oklahoma State 42, West Virginia 20
Oklahoma State cruises, and West Virginia scores a couple TDs on the second string defense.

FungoFrog: Oklahoma State 52, West Virginia 10
Oklahoma State is going to destroy West Virginia. Don't watch this game, it is going to be ugly.

Oklahoma @ Notre Dame

HawkeyedFrog: Oklahoma 34, Notre Dame 20
There go the Irish.  Blake Bell puts together an efficient performance through the air against a Notre Dame secondary that was vaporized by Michigan and Purdue that opens things up for him to do his usual plowing on the ground.  Tommy Rees can't wake up the echoes and Notre Dame loses at home.

Jamie Plunkett: Notre Dame 27, Oklahoma 17
OU isn't going to win this one against the Fighting Irish. Their offense is too questionable

FungoFrog: Oklahoma 17, Notre Dame 10
I am calling a small audible here... This will be a defensive showdown, OU will go ahead in the fourth with a TD run. Notre Dame's final drive will fizzle on the 10 yard line as time expires. OU escapes.
