No. 20 Kansas 86, No. 25 Kansas State 60
This is the Kansas team we were promised. Andrew Wiggins hasn’t looked as good all season as he collected 22 points and 5 rebounds. Elsewhere for Kansas, Wayne Seldon collected 20 points while Joel Embiid led in rebounds with 9. Embiid was also ejected for an elbow.
Oklahoma 87, No. 7 Iowa State 82
Oklahoma snaps the Cyclones’ 14-game streak thanks to Buddy Hield’s 20 points. Sophomore forward Ryan Spangler led the Sooners with 15. For Iowa State, it was all about DeAndre Kane. Kane led the Cyclones in points, rebounds and assists with 22, 9, and 4 respectively.
Texas 67, Texas Tech 64
In true form, Tech was quite pesky Saturday night in Austin. But thanks to some big plays at the end of the game by Cameron Ridley, the Longhorns were able to pull away. Isiah Taylor led the Longhorns in scoring with 14.
No. 12 Oklahoma State 73, West Virginia 72
In his second straight double-double, Marcus Smart finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Cowboys barely outlasted the Mountaineers in Morgantown.
No. 9 Baylor 88, TCU 62
Taurean Prince once again dominated off the bench as he led the Bears in scoring with 23 points. For TCU, it was the same story. Promising start, but getting outrebounded 54-25 led to an ugly finish. Brandon Parrish led the Frogs in scoring and rebounds.
