OSU Cowboys @ TCU Horned Frogs Gamethread

With the Frogs hoping to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss to hated rival Baylor, the Oklahoma State Cowboys make their first trip to Fort Worth since 1992.

Brett Deering

For the first time in my life, I'm actually grateful that I've had a bunch of schoolwork to do, as it's enabled me to take my mind off of the Baylor game, to the point where it's hard to believe that our hearts were ripped out just seven days prior. And yet, as we kick off this week, everything is open for the Frogs- Baylor went down on the road in West Virginia and will be flying back to Waco with a loss, and just like that the Big 12 title is back within reach for the Frogs. What a difference a week makes, huh?

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will be coming in to Fort Worth today with the same dream- They've lost just once this season to a top 5 team, and despite the loss of their starting quarterback J.W. Walsh, they've had a very successful offensive output in his absence. It's been a long time since the Cowboys came to town- back in the Southwest Conference days the Cowboys had a home and home with the Frogs and left Fort Worth with a 13-11 loss. This game will almost certainly not end with a 13-11 score, and despite the improvement of the Frogs this year, the fact is that we haven't beaten the Cowboys while we've been in the Big 12 (and in fact, they've given us two of our most thorough losses since we joined the conference).

We'll see very early in this one if the Frogs are feeling the effects of the loss, or are ready to seize control of their own conference championship destiny. This is your game thread.

Go Frogs.
