The TCU Horned Frogs come in at No. 7 in the first ever College Football Playoff Rankings, just ahead of Michigan State and just behind Alabama.

The first ever College Football Playoff rankings have been released by the committee, and the TCU Horned Frogs check in at No. 7. TCU is the highest ranked Big 12 team, 2 spots ahead of Kansas State and 6 ahead of Baylor. It seems the 82-27 dismantling of the Texas Tech Red Raiders helped TCU's cause quite a bit with the committee, as they come in 3 spots ahead of their No. 10 ranking in both the Coaches and AP Poll.

Now that this poll has been released, teams across the country have a better idea of what they'll need to do to sneak in, or fall out. This is pretty good news for TCU fans. Being ahead of both Michigan State and Notre Dame is a huge plus for the first poll.
