In a week that keeps getting better, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin and linebacker Paul Dawson have been named the Big 12's offensive and defensive Players of the Week.

Boykin received the award after completing 20-of-38 passes for 318 yards and two touchdowns, while also running for 77 yards. The 395 total yards is a career-high for the junior quarterback. His touchdown passes of 39-and 29-yards were his ninth and 10th on the season, and he has already thrown for more touchdowns in 2014 than he did in all of 2013. Boykin is also only 22 passing yards away from eclipsing his 2013 total.

Meanwhile, Paul Dawson led the Horned Frogs' defensive effort with 11 tackles, good for second most on the day, as well as a huge fourth quarter interception, which he returned 41-yards for the go-ahead, and eventually game-winning, touchdown.

It was the second time this season Dawson has recorded double-digit tackles, and he now leads the Horned Frogs with 37 tackles through four games this year. For the season Dawson also has five tackles for loss, including one sack, as well as a forced fumble, three recovered fumbles, and two interceptions.

The Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week was Baylor defensive back Terrell Burt.

Congrats to the Big 12 Players of the Week!
