TCU vs. Prairie View A&M preview

The Frogs look to start things off on a high note against Prairie View A&M tonight in Fort Worth.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

TCU basketball has won 12 of their last 14 openers. Coming off of a season in which they they held 16 opponents to 70 points or less, the Frogs are hoping to have a little spark in the offense--not unlike the offensive turnaround on the football field. The door is wide open for improvement.

Amric Fields is back, Kyan Anderson--who scored 31 points and made all 13 of his free throws in the Tarleton State exhibition game--is dirtier than ever, and Karviar Shepherd returns a more mature player. Those three alone could make TCU's season competitive. Also keep an eye out for Christian Gore, Devonta Abron, Trey Zeigler and Brandon Parrish.

Tonight's game is at 7pm. And while it's not televised, catch it on SiriusXM channel 84 as well as TCU's official GameTracker.

Happy Friday, and college basketball season, y'all.
