TCU Basketball vs. Washington State preview

Zeigler and Shepherd look to do it again, and make it 2-0 tonight in Fort Worth

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Coming off a clean win against Prairie View A&M Friday, TCU fans will get a more telling look at what's in store for the 2014-15 season when the Frogs take on Washington State tonight. The Horned Frogs looked stellar in their opener, most notably collecting 50 rebounds, and look to build momentum for their very advantageous non-conference schedule. As for the Cougars (0-1), they're coming off a 13-point loss to UTEP.

Three Stars

Trey Zeigler and Karviar Shepherd highlighted TCU's opening win. Zeigler proved dynamic, as well as very accurate shooting the ball. But the Shepherd stats are really exciting. The sophomore who, started 2014-15 with a double-double, looked poised and confident both offensively and defensively in TCU's opener. For the Cougars, senior DaVonte Lacy is their star and leader, but guard Que Johnson presents the most intriguing matchup Monday night.
