Kyan Anderson led the way with 16 points as the TCU Horned Frogs defeated Washington State 81-54. TCU improves to 2-0 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 0-2.
Including Anderson, eight Horned Frogs recorded seven or more points on the night, as TCU shot 43.7% from the floor and 50% from three point range. TCU also held the rebounding edge, 45-37. That's 95 rebounds in two games for the Frogs, who struggled mightily on the glass last season.
Leading the rebounding charge was Kenrich Williams with ten, to go with nine points, and Karviar Shepherd with nine, to go with eight points.
True freshman Chauncey Collins also saw a significant amount of playing time in the second half, and he finished with ten points to go with two rebounds and an assist. 7-foot-1 freshman center Link Kabadyundi also saw some playing time, recording his first two points as a Horned Frog.
Washington State was horrible all around, shooting only 35.2% from the floor, 35.7% from three point range, and 39.3% from the free throw line. They also had 17 turnovers, which didn't help their cause.
TCU takes the court again this Thursday, when they face off against New Orleans. That game will also take place at Wilkerson-Greines Athletic Center, at 7:00 p.m.
