It isn't often in basketball that you see a team beat someone by as much as they scored, but that's what TCU did to Mississippi Valley State on Monday night, tearing them apart 106-53.
Kyan Anderson led the way for TCU with 19 points, but he was hardly alone in his scoring efforts. Devonta Abron (14), Link Kabadyundi (12) and Hudson Price (11) joined him in double digits, and all 14 Frogs that played scored.
Karviar Shepherd pulled down 10 rebounds, and TCU is now 6-3 when the big man grabs double-digit boards.
The Frogs led by as many as 55, matching TCU football's margin of victory over Texas Tech back in October, but a layup in the last minute by the Delta Devils cut the lead down to 53.
TCU shot 60.6% from the floor (40-66) on the night, and 52.2% from three point range (12-23).
The Frogs pulled down 51 rebounds, their second 50+ rebounding effort on the young season, a testament to the new found frontcourt depth.
The Frogs have Tuesday off before hosting the 2-2 Radford Highlanders on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
