TCU Recruiting: Frogs land coveted 2015 lineman

David Bolisomi, a 2015 offensive tackle from Denton (TX) Ryan High School, has been a hot name in recruiting circles the last few weeks. On Monday, the big fella decided Fort Worth was the place to be for the next four years after meeting with Patterson and company.

Bolisomi announced his decision on Monday night via twitter, becoming the 18th verbal commitment for the Horned Frogs' 2015 class. They say you can never have enough "big uglies" and this was a big pickup due to the fact that the Frogs have missed on several offensive line prospects, including Cody Ford, who switched his commitment from TCU to Oklahoma earlier this year. The only other commit (so far) scheduled to play offensive line in this class is Westfield's Cordel Iwuagwu.

If you are looking for an athletic specimen that could potentially be an all-conference type of player in a couple of years, Bolisomi is a good bet. At 6'6 290 pounds, Bolisomi is already a grown man. But what sticks out  when watching his film is his incredible athleticism and quickness. He is the type of player who needs polish and to work on his technique but the payoff for the TCU coaching staff and team could be enormous.

Bolisomi has gone from almost completely unknown in recruiting circles to a guy who is tallying new offers every day. As it currently stands, Bolisomi has received offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Houston, North Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, San Diego State as well as interest from several other programs.

In order for the Frogs to keep winning and piling up points, the coaching staff will have to continue its pursuit of athletic offensive linemen who can play 80-100 plays every Saturday at a frenzied pace. Bolisomi's commitment to TCU is huge for Patterson and company, even if the big man doesn't see the field right away.
