TCU Football Inks Early Enrollee Alec Dunham

The Horned Frogs officially signed Alec Dunham, an early enrollee, to their 2015 recruiting class today.

TCU signed its first member of the 2015 class Friday, as early enrollee Alec Dunham made his commitment to TCU official.

Dunham, a 3-star outside linebacker recruit from Coldspring, Texas, has been committed to TCU for over a year. He announced that he would be joining the Frogs back in early November of 2013, and held true to his word.

Dunham pretty much shut his recruitment down after his commitment, but he still held offers from Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Wake Forest and Houston. He also suffered an ACL tear in 2013, which slowed his recruitment quite a bit.

He's rated as the No. 5 OLB in the state, according to Scout.com, and the No. 42 player at his position in the country.

Here's what Greg Powers of Scout.com has to say about Dunham:

Dunham has to come back and prove that he is good to go off of an ACL injury he suffered at the start of the 2013 season. These days prospects often come back even stronger. You can not help but fall in love with his film. He plays both ways and has the star quality on the field. He is a scrappy running back. Hits the hole hard and has some wiggle. On defense, he flies to the football and has great burst. A solid overall athlete

Dunham is not the only early enrollee expected to sign soon. Current TCU commit and 4-star cornerback Deshawn Raymond will be enrolling early, and Mike Freeze, a 3-star linebacker, could be enrolling early as well.
