It's been a very disappointing season for both Baylor and TCU, but for very different reasons.
Baylor was hoping to return to the NCAA tournament, after being relegated to the NIT in 2013, but has seen any hopes of either tournament washed away in a 2-8 campaign through conference play.
TCU was hoping to improve on a 2-16 Big 12 record in 2013, and seemed to bring in the freshman class to do it. A well documented string of injuries has prevented the Frogs from winning a single conference game to this point.
On the bright side of things, the first 500 students get free fried pickles tonight, which is almost enough to get me to drive on out there.
Actually, no, it's not.
However, TCU has been playing better as of late, despite getting murdered on the boards, and if they shoot well from beyond the arc they could push Baylor to the limit, and possibly win, which would force Marshall to rank TCU ahead of the Bears in next week's power rankings.
Come join the conversation as we wallow in sadness and count down the hours to baseball season.
Frog on.
