TCU did a fantastic job of keeping this one under wraps, but now the cat is out of the bag, as the Horned Frogs have received a signed Letter of Intent from former Arkansas commit Vin Ascolese.

Ascolese, a 3-star linebacker, originally signed an LOI with Arkansas in 2012, but never made it on campus due to an issue with the NCAA Clearinghouse. They initially didn't accept his 3.1 GPA and 1400 SAT score, due to some classes he took at North Bergen High School in New Jersey. Once they cleared everything up, it was too late. Instead, he headed to College of the Sequoias in California.

His senior year in high school he recorded 134 tackles, with a staggering 57 tackles for loss. On top of that, he recorded 11 sacks, eight forced fumbles and two interceptions. Oh, he also rushed for 600 yards. In 2012, he was clocked as running a 4.6-40.

Ascolese becomes the second linebacker in this class for TCU, joining Ty Summers.

Welcome to the family, Vin!

Go Frogs!
