The TCU Horned Frogs set a new school record with their 12th shutout of the season as they topped Cal State Northridge, 3-0, Sunday afternoon. Riley Ferrell picked up his 10th save of the season.
The trend continued Sunday as TCU tossed its 12th shutout and sixth in the last eight games with a 3-0 win against Cal State Northridge. The 12 shutouts are the most in program history, breaking the 1972 record of 11.
TCU juior righty Preston Morrison was dominant in leading the Horned Frogs to a 1-0 series-clinching win over Cal State Northridge on Saturday. Morrison hurled a complete game shut out, TCU’s sixth shutout in its’ last eight outings, as the Horned Frogs continue to dominate opponents on the mound.
Julien Brun of TCU shot a 66 for the second consecutive day and won the individual title at the Big 12 Championship with a 277 on Sunday in Trinity.
Julien Brun's second-straight 66 made him the runaway individual medalist, while TCU finished fifth as play concluded Sunday at the Big 12 Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club.
