Over the next two weeks, we’ll be analyzing the depth charts of every Big 12 team coming out of the spring. We continue today with TCU, which released an official two-deep after wrapping up spring ball. After its recent addition at QB, here’s our take on what the Horned Frogs’ depth chart now looks like.
TCU pitchers Preston Morrison and Tyler Alexander were named the Big 12 pitcher and newcomer of the week, respectively, after winning games against Kansas State over the weekend.
Tyler Alexander threw seven solid innings allowing only an earned run as TCU continues its’ win steak with a 3-1 win over Kansas State clinching the Big 12 series. Alexander allowed a solo home run to Ross Kivett to lead off the game and from there the offense was silent, mustering only four hits as the Horned Frogs win their 11th consecutive game.
Preston Morrison and Tyler Alexander have been honored by the Big 12 for their performances this past weekend in TCU's sweep of Kansas State. Morrison, the Pitcher of the Week, earns his second honor of the season, while Alexander, the Newcomer of the Week, earns his first accolade.
The TCU men's golf team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Regional Championships on Monday, marking the program's 25th-straight postseason appearance. The Horned Frogs will compete at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas, as the No. 9 seed on May 15-17.
