Later this afternoon, the University of Texas could be the first of three Big 12/Texas teams to be eliminated from the College World Series.

The Longhorns dropped their first game of the College World Series to UC-Irvine on Saturday, and now they face off against Louisville to try and keep their championship hopes alive.

Parker French will take the mound for Texas today, and he squares off against Anthony Kidson, who is 9-0 on the season.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt ace Tyler Beede will look to improve his record to 9-7 on the season. After a dominant 2013, Vanderbilt hasn't done very well with him on the mound, going just 9-8 in his 17 starts this season. His latest start was sub-par, to say the least, as he allowed six runs against Stanford in the opening game of the Nashville Super Regional.

Both games should be close matchups, but I think Texas and Vandy pull out the W's tonight.
