The Devonte news is dominating the cycle, but there are a couple other things happening in TCU's world this week.

News broke on Tuesday that former Big 12 defensive freshman of the year Devonte Fields was involved in a domestic disturbance investigation stemming from a Sunday incident in which he allegedly pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend, threatened her and punched her in the head. TCU released a statement that Fields has been "separated" from the university, pending results of the investigation. As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrest had been made.

He pointedly mentioned other players, not Fields, the preseason Big 12 defensive player of the year. The reason became clear a day later. He has been suspended from the team and school.

TCU standout golfer Julien Brun was recently named to the 2014 All-Nicklaus Team, which recognizes players from Divisions, I, II, II, NAIA, and NJCAA for their outstanding play during the past collegiate season. The All-Nicklaus team selection marks the third of Brun's career.
