4 TCU players named to watch lists | Fort Worth Star Telegram

Tailback B.J. Catalon has been named to the watch list for the 2014 Paul Hornung Award, presented to the nation’s most versatile player.

Catalon was a second-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree last year. He ran for 569 yards to become the first Horned Frog to top TCU in rushing in back-to-back seasons since Joseph Turner from 2007-09. Catalon totaled six rushing touchdowns while leading TCU tailbacks with 11 receptions.

TCU safety Sam Carter, defensive end Devonte Fields and defensive tackle Chucky Hunter have been named to the watch list for the 2014 Chuck Bednarik Award, presented to the nation's top defensive player.

Big 12 Lands 28 on Maxwell, Bednarik and Hornung Watch Lists | Big 12 Sports

The 12 Big had nine athletes named to the 77th annual Maxwell Award watch list, and 14 athletes selected to the 20th annual Chuck Bednarik Award watch list, the most in the conference’s history. Five Big 12 athletes were also named to the Paul Hornung watch list.
