Joey Hunt has been named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, which is an award given to the nation's top center.

From the desk of Mark Cohen:

TCU's Joey Hunt has been named to the fall watch list for the 2014 Rimington Trophy, presented to the nation's top center.

A junior from El Campo, Texas, Hunt started 11 of 12 games at center last season. He also made one start at right guard. He was second-team Academic All-Big 12.

Hunt made one start as a true freshman in 2012.

TCU All-American Jake Kirkpatrick was the 2010 recipient of the Rimington Trophy.

Hunt was a second-team All-Academig Big 12 Selection in 2013, starting 11 games at center and one at right guard (against Texas). The junior from El Campo, Texas will once again be at the helm of an offensive line that desperately needs to improve.

Hunt was the one bright spot on the line in 2013, although he did have a few issues with snapping the ball, especially when the offense was in shotgun. However, his leadership and blocking skills cannot be understated.

As Cohen mentioned above, Jake Kirkpatrick won the award in 2010.
