Hunter is a two-time All-Big 12 selection and a preseason pick in 2014. He led the TCU defensive front last year with 43 tackles, including six for loss with two sacks. He has been named to preseason watch lists for the Chuck Bednarik Award, Rotary Lombardi Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy.
It is the first year TCU coach Gary Patterson expects to see results in the Big 12.
Patterson said it might take the first three games to decide which player is the No. 1 quarterback, but a determination will be made at some point. He’s not a fan of alternating series or plays, and said he believes the team has two good choices.
