The debut of the new offense was just about as good as TCU fans could've hoped for. The first play of the game may have been an incomplete pass, but Trevone Boykin and company marched down the field in two minutes and scored on their first drive of the season. While it still has some kinks to work out, there's little doubt that this offense will be the most exciting since TCU went undefeated in 2010. Even in 2011 and 2012, when TCU went to the postseason, they were a "second half team"....which really means they were a boring team offensively.
This year, they aren't wasting much time. Boykin--who accounted for 349 total yards (320 passing) and 3 touchdowns (2 passing, 1 running)--led the offense to 7 scoring drives out of 12 chances in the Frogs' convincing victory against Samford.
