The game time for the TCU vs. Oklahoma match up on October 4th has been set, as of early Monday afternoon. The Frogs and Sooners will face off at 2:30 p.m. Central time at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.
The game will be televised on FOX.
For TCU the match up marks the first of Big 12 play for the 2014 season, while Oklahoma will come in to the game 1-0 in conference play.
TCU and Oklahoma have had some great contests over the past few seasons, with the Frogs going 1-3 in the last four meetings, including a stunning 17-10 victory in Norman in 2005. The Frogs are 0-2 against Oklahoma as Big 12 bunkmates, but both games have been closely contested, with 2012 coming down to a dropped Josh Boyce pass in the endzone, and 2013 being won on a 76-yard touchdown run by Brennan Clay.
The Sooners fought off a solid West Virginia team in Morgantown over the weekend, 45-33, and currently sit at No. 4 in the Associated Press Poll (No. 3 in the Coaches' Poll). The Sooners haven't been ranked lower than No. 12 in the polls in the past four meetings with the Horned Frogs.
Meanwhile, TCU has gotten off to its eighth 2-0 start in the last 12 seasons, with wins over Samford and Minnesota that have featured a revamped offense and a smothering, typical Gary Patterson, defense.
